Your ONE IDEA Can Change Your Life©

That's the title of my latest book and
you can be part of the updated versions
and have the rights to sell it
on your own website!

This is a fill in the blank, step by step method for attaining a richer, more fulfilling life by finding your ONE IDEA and using this to move forward and living a more easy life. We’ve all heard of a songwriter that wrote that one song and never worked again a day in his life. We heard of the woman who created a vaccine that helps save the lives of thousands. And we’ve heard the countless stories of inventors who invented something that is used by everyone every day while they spend every day in a life of leisure.

NOTE: If this interests you,
consider submitting your ONE IDEA story
to be published in the final printing of the book.

Details follow at the end of this article.

It can happen to you.

You can…
Write a book
Write a song
Invent something
Find something
Discover something
Meet someone
other...

If you already have what you define as success…

Looking back, what was the ONE IDEA that changed everything about your life and set you on the path to fame and riches; or at least a life in your definition of being fulfilling and abundant? You may have to go back several steps from an idea that was born from a previous idea, from another and still another (and maybe more) until you arrive at that one BIG idea that launched you to where you are today; doing what you want to do, when you want to do it and with who you want to do it with; whatever your “it” is.

If you are still looking for what you define as success…

For others, you’ve lived a series of what you see as false starts, unachieved dreams, and unsurpassed obstacles and you feel that you haven’t moved hardly an inch even though the world has turned around you many years.

Wherever you are, you can do more to do more, have more and be more. The best part about being a little behind in the marathon (life is a marathon and not a race) is that as you now move forward, with increasing speed, you’ll see bigger changes as you do.

What you are reading is an actual step by step method to finding your ONE IDEA which will “set you up for life”. Years ago some say that “If Elvis sang my song, I’d be set for life” because of the royalties they’d receive would be enough (they thought) to live on for the rest of their lives. Together we’re going to explore ways to come up with your ONE IDEA which could be a song, an invention or improvement of an invention, a jingle, a book, a company, a product and many other ways which definitely can set you up for life too.

Revisiting Your ONE IDEA

If you are already successful, at least in one area, it is good to get back to the time when it “happened”. You can then “reverse engineer” how it (or you) came to be what and who you are today.  To get you started in thinking about what your first ONE IDEA was and how to get back to it if you’ve had many years go by since it was given birth and grown; listen to this story (told in reverse).
Because I’m now reaping the rewards of my efforts, I now say, “I went from welfare to faring well”.

I got my master’s degree.
I graduated from college, with honors.
I worked all day and took college courses at night.
I got my high school diploma.
I went back to school.
I started to dream…
I got a job at a high school cafeteria collecting meal tickets.
I developed a “can-do” mentality.
I refused to pass my lifestyle down to my generations.
I was barely surviving in poverty, defeat, and despair.
I was living off handouts, went on welfare.
My dreams were shattered; I rented a cramped, small apartment to raise my son.
When I was 16 years old, I got pregnant and had to leave high school.

(Looking backward this certainly does look like a downward spiral; because it is. But many people are living their lives going forward, in a downward spiral! Your ONE IDEA can change that if that is your case!)

That’s where the story starts; being 16, pregnant and feeling so very alone. This woman had an idea to better herself. That was her ONE IDEA. And, she did.

What is your ONE IDEA?

For this woman,  it took ONE IDEA along with other ideas which were followed with a persistent focus on each step to get to where she now says, “I went from welfare to faring well”.

You can read this actual, true-life story of “Phyllis” in Joel Osteen’s book, Your BestLife Now as he related how this member of his church moved from her past forward to where she is today. As you do your exercise, try to find your ONE IDEA and identify the many other ideas along your way to where you are today.

Wherever you are, right now in your life, take out a sheet of paper and start backward from today and write out some of the steps that got you where you are today. Leave plenty of space between the lines so you can write between the sentences as you remember other steps. Don’t worry about having to “finish” this “assignment”. It is OK to look back when doing exercises like this; as long as you applaud yourself for how far you’ve come.

While doing your exercise, you’ll find yourself going in reverse, forward, and filling in the middle at times; this is fine. Once you have several steps, see how your situation progressed. You’ll then no doubt think of a few other steps. Save this in a journal or somewhere and review it sometime in the future.

So what do you think so far? Do you have a ONE IDEA story which outlines your story from victim to victory or the troubles, the trials the treasure?

Everyone has a story and even though you may not think yours is worthy, please share it. If we publish it as one in the book, you’ll receive a credit, a link to your website (where you can tell and sell) and a large discounted price for purchasing and reselling the PDF version on your site. Your name will also appear on the cover as “Also featuring (your name) on the page (number).
