The letter “K” is for: ???
If you thought of the word “killing” it doesn’t mean that this is your favorite pastime; and the same with “kitten” doesn’t mean you’d say “yes” to have one in your home when your daughter asks for one.
However, it may reveal how you may be negative or positive in your outlook on life in general. Or, it may speak of what topics you have been involved with most recently.
Either way, I think you join me and the other readers in wanting to be positive in most things you do so we continue our 26-week alphabet journey of positive words beginning with the next letter in line.
Today we are at the letter “K”.
If you’ve been with us up to this point, you know that the practice is to choose a letter of the alphabet, choose 3 positive words from the provided list and place them after the phrase, “I am” on a 3 x 5 card which you carry for 7 days and look at for at least 3 times daily.
This is week 11. What have you seen a change in your life, routine, lifestyle and more as the result of doing this consistently? Don’t feel bad if you haven’t been able to read your card 3 times a day for 7 days, but do your best! Over time it will become a routine and then you’ll see real results!
In the past, we’ve chosen 3 words, words which “jump out at you” and you write down as you see them, words you chose from your mind without using a list, and with our last letter, you added the word “because” to your affirmation (I am “joyful” because…”).
This week when you select your words from the list I’d like you to choose 9, 12 or 15words. Write them all down and then from this list of yours, narrow your choices down to 3. In this way, you’ll be taking a bit more time in thought with your selection.
As always, please leave your comments, results, and experiences in the comments section to share with others.
Here is the list; courtesy of this website.
K.O., KAAJHUAB, KALON, KAPISH, KAZAAM, KEEN, KEENEST, KEENLY, KEENNESS, KEEP UP, KEEPER, KEEP-UP, KEMPT, KEY, KIDDINGLY, KIDDO, KID-FRIENDLY, KILIG, KIND, KIND WORDS, KIND-HEART, KIND-HEARTED, KINDLINESS, KINDLY, KINDNESS, KINDRED, KINDRED SPIRIT, KINETIC, KING OF THE, KINGLY, KINGPIN, KING-SIZED, KISS, KISSABLE, KITTEN, KITTENS, KNIGHT, KNIGHTLY, KNOCK SPOTS OFF, KNOWABLE, KNOW-HOW, KNOWING, KNOWINGLY, KNOWLEDGE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, KNOWLEDGEABLY, KOIBITO KIBUN, KOOKILY, KOOKY, KOSHER, KUDOS
After seeing such a short list of words to choose from, it looks like you won't have such a long list of 15, 12 or 9 words to narrow down to 3. We'll repeat that with the next letter. For now, use variations such as "keeping up", "Kingly", "the King", "I am a... ", etc.
“Just because you think you’re so pretty, just because you think you’re so hot
… just because you think you’ve got something that nobody else has got” goes the old Polka lyrics.
Today’s letter is the letter “J” and I’m here to tell you that you are unique in every way and that’s one reason why you are here reading this and I hope you’ll join our 26-week “Positive Word/Affirmation Journey” if you’ve not already done so.
Every week we follow the alphabet in order (this week is the letter “J”) and find 3 positive words which describe ourselves (or we wish to describe ourselves as) and read them 3 times daily for one full week. Sure, we don’t always complete all 3 times or 7 days sometimes but we don’t “beat ourselves up” because of this. We know that we are doing then we would (and are growing more than we would) than if we weren’t doing it at all. It’s fun and “addicting”; hopefully, we’ll see you here next week!
So, let’s get started.
There is a list of positive words which start with the letter “J” at the end of this article. The word list is courtesy of this site.
Choose 3 words from the list or on your own, but be sure that they are positive in nature.
Write them on a 3x5 card after the phrase: “I am”…
Example, “I am jolly, joyful, and jet-setting”. Wow, I wasn’t looking at a list when coming up with those 3 words and I must confess it was “hard” to think of “positive” words. I thought of words like “jaded, jealous, and jailed”. I know those words don’t describe me but maybe it means I need to add more positive “J” words to my vocabulary!
This week I’m putting a twist on your “assignment” as I will continue to do from time to time. Yes, when we started this journey the process was exactly as presented above (and you can continue to do so if you wish) but if you would like to join me in doing something a bit different this week, let’s add: “because” to your 3 words.
I am jolly… because I love to laugh at trials in my life because I know they are stepping stones to success.
I am joyful because… I love living life every day and seek its new adventures.
I am jet-setting… because I travel to exotic places as a reward for helping others with my avocation.
That’s it for now.
Enjoy!
